A donation to Astraea reaches across the globe, fueling campaigns for constitutional protections, combating forced “rehabilitation” clinics for lesbians, and fighting for the right for self-determination for trans people. Very few foundations are supporting the crucial work of LGBTI activists in the U.S. and around the globe—in fact, 0.2% of all foundation dollars nationally support these issues.

This Pride Month we reflect on how our stories, movements, and communities are intrinsically stitched together. We envision a future in solidarity with all 2SLGBTQI+ people by supporting our grantee partners globally who are working on the frontlines of liberation movements and building deep and affirming communities like Cousins, an organization providing supportive services to Indigenous Two-Spirit (2S) youth in Oklahoma.
